A Kadoma-based businesswoman has admitted liability and begun repayment of USD $5,800 following a complaint from a United Kingdom-based client. The resolution follows a swift, evidence driven investigation by General Mear Investigations, culminating in a signed Acknowledgement of Debt and a structured repayment plan.
On 10 March, General Mear Investigations and Security Firm received a formal complaint from a UK-based client alleging that USD $5,800 had been obtained under false pretenses by a Kadoma-based businesswoman.bThe investigation commenced the following day, 11 March, with the team moving quickly to gather, verify and consolidate evidence sufficient to establish the case beyond reasonable doubt. The suspect was traced and engaged directly.
She initially responded with defiance and reportedly made threats toward investigators. However, once presented with the compiled evidence and formally advised of the pending criminal charges to be filed at Kadoma Central Police Station, her position changed. She subsequently requested an out-of-court settlement, which was accepted by both parties under guided mediation.
General Mear Investigations then drafted a legally binding Acknowledgement of Debt, which the respondent signed, committing to full restitution of the USD $5,800. A deposit has since been paid, with the outstanding balance to be cleared under a structured two-month repayment plan marking a swift and strategic resolution to a cross-border financial dispute.
