Kudzai Kaurai is a forensic scientist and toxicologist with over 13 years of experience within the Zimbabwe Republic Police, where she currently serves in the Forensic Science Directorate. Her expertise spans forensic toxicology, drug analysis and expert court testimony with a proven track record of presenting clear, defensible scientific evidence before Zimbabwe's Magistrates' Courts and High Court.
Kudzai holds a Master of Science in Toxicology from the National Forensic Science University, India, and a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Forensic Science from the University of Zimbabwe. She is proficient across a range of advanced analytical techniques, including chromatography (HPLC, TLC, TLC-MS, Flash Chromatography) and spectroscopy (NMR, UV-Vis, Raman, Fluorometry).
Beyond casework, she plays a key role in peer-reviewing forensic reports, training police officers and junior forensic scientists, and contributing to research and the development of standard operating procedures for forensic practice.
